La Cantina is situated only 5 minutes from the centre of Barga, immersed in the lush green landscape of Garfagnana and Mediavalle del Serchio, surrounded by woodlands. The Cantina offers vast choice of wines and possibility of wine tasting. We hope you enjoy your stay with us. Barga is holder of "The Orange Flag" for tourism from the Italian Touring Club and was voted "One of the Most Beautiful Boroughs in Italy". Barga offers honey in summer, wild mushrooms (porcini) in may and september, and chestnuts in october e november.

Places of interest:The Catthedral (DUOMO) Romanesque (sec. XII-XVI) with its famous pulpit. St. Francis Cloister (sec. XV) In the chapel there are some enamelled terracotta works said to be of the Andrea Della Robbia (1469-1529) school. In spring and Summer Barga is home to many authors, poets, artist and musicians with many exibitions throughout the town.

Most local restaurants and trattorie are family run, making their own pasta, using traditional receipes and local produce, with cured meats and a wide choice of cheeses.
